Derived from a Greek word that means "to sparkle, flash and gleam," marble is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious materials in the world... How fitting to make a soap after the gold-streaked calacatta marble! This marble is very rare (taken from Apuan Mountains in Carrara, Italy) and is more white than gray with dramatic veining that results in thick, predominate patterns. Calacatta marble often have streaks of brown and gold undertones.
